Gordon A. Baird brings extensive experience in technology, banking and financial services as nD bancgroup’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Baird started in financial services as a financial analyst conducting fundamental and quantitative analysis adopting computer models to predict credit performance, real estate returns and equity valuations. His experience includes service at Citigroup Global Markets, State Street Bank & Trust Company and John Hancock Real Estate Finance. He has extensive experience with financing credit card portfolios, commercial credit, international banking and treasury finance. Mr. Baird served as an operating advisor to Thomas H. Lee Partners, and was the Founder and CEO of Paramax Capital Partners, LLC and IBEX Capital Markets. Mr. Baird is also a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Macquarie Global Infrastructure Total Return Fund. Mr. Baird is a Chartered Financial Analyst and member of the New York Security Analyst Society and holds a B.A. in economics from Emory University.

Robert B. Willumstad, Chairman, has over 35 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry. Presently, he serves as a Partner with Brysam Global Partners, a specialty private equity firm focused in financial services, which he co-founded in 2005. Mr. Willumstad previously served as the Chairman, and briefly as Chief Executive Officer, of American International Group until 2008. Prior to that, he held positions as President and Chief Operating Officer, as well as a Director, at Citigroup. Mr. Willumstad also served for over 20 years with Chemical Bank in various capacities of operations, retail banking and computer systems.

Humphrey Chen is an Executive Vice President at nD bancgroup. He leads Corporate Development initiatives, focusing on major corporate B2B partnerships. His recent experience includes leading Strategy for Verizon Wireless. Mr. Chen also led Avaya’s Unified Communications Product Management team, where he extended office dial-tone to the mobile and PC world via the acquisition of a VC-backed startup. Prior to that, he focused on Real-Time Communications and Business Process Integration at Microsoft and founded his own VC-backed startup. Mr. Chen holds an undergraduate degree from M.I.T. and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Martha L. Long has served as nD bancgroup’s Chief Financial Officer since December 30, 2013 and Independence Bank’s Chief Financial Officer since 2012. She has over 31 years of experience in various senior financial officer roles. Prior to her work with Independence Bank, Ms. Long served in various accounting capacities, including most recently working for her own CPA firm from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, she served as Senior Vice President for AIMCO, a publicly held real estate investment trust from 1998 to 2009 in various financial capacities. She has also served as Senior Vice President and Controller for two SEC-registered companies, The First Savings Bank and Insignia Financial Group, Inc., an owner and operator of multi-family housing facilities. Ms. Long is a graduate of Bob Jones University with a degree in Accounting and is a certified public accountant in South Carolina.
